Love passion infatuation, schemes, beauty, all packed up in this 121 page turner. Irwing has successfully turned the mind of the reader (at least he has taken mine hostage) in this book from start to finish. Unlike other writers who choose to intertwine many stories in one novel he has decided to choose one story to tell in this novel.

Curve couture is a story about Claire as she tries to live her own life free from her dominating and scheming sister who she works for, as a modeling agent. Things turn hotter for Claire when she beds her sister’s boyfriend and goes on to try to sell her off, due to shame. Claire will also have to fight for her all time love, Erin, who is so sinfully cute to behold, and who she’s had a crush on from childhood. Now both of them will have to keep dodging Janice’s devious schemes to remain afloat. Will they keep the love afloat; will Claire’s new modeling career pull through?

One thing I like about this novel is the way Irwing describes happenings graphically. His descriptions are so vivid that you feel like you are living the action right then. Another thing is that he has been able to juxtapose the good and the bad, the evil and the right, without being preachy. All this, coupled with hard, tangible suspense, make you want to turn pages till you turn the last and realize the novel is over too soon.
One of the things I have learnt from this novel is to believe in myself. There is always a good side to what seems to be of no consequence to others or even valueless. Again I have learnt to fight for what I know is right for me regardless of the hurdles on the way. For example Janice’s overbearing character does not stop Claire from trying her best in an industry that is traditionally programmed to reject her physique. It all strengthens her resolve.

I recommend this book to you if you like reading graphical romantic stories. I just said it is very vivid but not overmuch. The books sports few grammatical mistakes, if any, and has been professionally edited and that makes an even better read. In this regard I give curve couture a rating of 4 out of 4.

Among the romantic novels I have read, curve couture stands out. It is a story that most of us can relate to in one way or another. The author has been successful in addressing our sensitive struggles in life and gone beyond that to show how we can overcome them even as he drives the romantic story forward. This is one book worth having.

I have read this book and I would give it 3 out of 4 stars. I enjoyed reading it but the plot was simple and predictable.
