Curve Couture is a work of fiction written by H. M. Irwing. This book is a whirlwind of fashion, passion, and the complicated inner workings of the modeling world. However, our main character, Claire Williams, is not your typical size two model, but rather a size 18 plus size introduction and not only is he weight a struggle for her, she finds herself working closely with her childhood crush as well as working against her very own sister. Juggling them all seem to be a struggle for Claire, one she is determined to overcome.

Claire Williams is no stranger to the world of fashion and modeling. After all, her sister Janice is a famous model and Clair is her agent. Being overweight and seemingly less attractive, even as the older sister, Claire falls behind her younger sibling in many aspects of life. When a wrong decision made on a lonely night brings Claire to a meeting with former model turned agent, and Claire's life-long crush, Erin Robertson, she is blind-sided by an offer from Erin that she can't refuse. A new career path brings Claire up close and personal with Erin and brings her from her sister's shadow to sharing a lime light that was not expected nor appreciated by her younger sibling. This forces Claire to make a decision that may cost her the relationship she has with her only living relative.

This book held an almost classy sense of humor. There are times when the reader may catch themselves grinning to themselves over the antics of characters. It was easy to follow and the characters blended well together. I enjoyed the story line and the inner struggle faced by the main characters was relatable, even without a background in modeling. This book was entertaining and can be enjoyed by most any age group; young adult and up.

Occasionally, communication amongst characters come off a little forced or awkward and it does not seem as though it is part of the plan but more the way the parts are written. The point(s) could have been portrayed a little better if worded differently but this does not take much away from the book itself.

All in all, I would rate Curve Couture with 4 out of 4 stars. The easy flow of the story line, the general personalities of the characters, the relatable conflicts, and the happy ending tie together a well written and enjoyable story.
