Stolid by Aaron D. Key revolves around a strange young man who doesn't seem to know how he ended up on the streets. It is raining, and he is hoping to get help. A car drives by and offers him a ride, which he accepts. Strangely, the man in the car claims to know this young boy and says that he has met him. The boy has no recollection of these events and has become paranoid about this strange man's ideas. However, the man offers him the chance to leave, but rather, he stays and listens to what this man has to say.

The book traverses multiple timelines, and I was entertained by Aaron's content. I like how the story begins mysteriously, as it leaves the reader in the mood for an adventure. I found Stolid strange from the very beginning, and I wanted to unlock him so badly. As the flashbacks progressed, I discovered his love relationships, and that was the best arc of the book. His love life is what gives the book light. Another thing that touched me in this book is the theme of familial discord and rejection. I felt for Joseph sometimes because his father didn't approve of him. The plot that this book gives away makes me perfectly understand the beginning. In terms of editing, this book is perfectly edited, and there are no errors in it whatsoever. The author deserves praise for delivering such fine work.

There is no daunting aspect to this book; every concept of its narrative aligns well with mine. The book did not fail to entertain me. I enjoyed every bit of the storyline. It is with these thoughts in mind that I have decided to rate this book a solid 5 out of 5 stars. This rating is well deserved because, as I mentioned earlier, I found nothing disconcerting about it. I recommend this book to anyone who wants to enjoy a dark psychological thriller. This will allow them to immerse themselves in Stolid's life, and perhaps they can uncover something greater. I recommend it to a mature audience, however, due to its sensitive content.
