Well this kind of story are full different emotions, situations, suspense , and friendship , it’s sounds like horror including with crimes but very interesting .

After reading your review, I decided to give this book a try. Thanks for the heads up on the accents. I agree that could be confusing.

Your review has piqued my interest in this book. I think I really will give it a read. Mostly, I look forward to being moved by all the emotional aspects your mentioned. Hopefully, the accent switching won't throw me off much. Thanks for a great review!

The act of the child taken away from the mother is truly a intense situation, even by reading this review I can feel that. I wonder what would have happened if I read this whole book. Thanks for the review!

This book is well known to me and I agree with your assessment. It would be better if you mentioned in the review, how important relationships between people like Lily and James are. On the other hand I liked everything, thanks for the review.

Your review is mouth watering. I'm a history buff and a sucker for anything with a whiff of romance. I can't wait to sink my teeth into this story.

This book seems a good read. Code switch is ok if you understand it. This makes for a unique addition to the story. The romance between different races at that time a taboo. Thanks for the review.

The review has nicely brought out the subtle current flowing in the book. The life of a slave from one situation to other evokes our interest to go through the book in details. Thanks for a nice review.

Wow. This Lily girl must be a strong girl indeed. Growing up without a mother. Is not an easy one, she seemed to have been surrounded by nice persons around. I would love to know how her search for her mother went and her adventure generally. Thanks for the review
