Alpha's regret follows the emotional journey of Everly, who finds herself pregnant but unmated. Shunned by her pack and rejected by the father of her unborn child, Everly is forced to tackle the world as a single mom without the support of a pack. Along the way, she meets incredibly strong women. Standing together, they face all the challenges thrown at them and thrive. However, Everly's mate realises the error of his ways and strives to prove his devotion to Everly.

Strange disappearances are happening around the city and tensions among the packs are at an all-time high as each pack struggles for control of the city. Everly and her mate find themselves in the centre of the trouble. Having to survive independently, Everly, struggles to trust and rely on her mate. Will they put the past behind them or will the past forever come between them causing all to be lost?

The novel contains multiple character perspectives and was an absolute pleasure to read. It was well edited and the pace of the book was engaging and made the reader want to know what happens next. It was an emotional rollercoaster and the characters were very well developed. I enjoyed reading the story of Everly and all the challenges she overcame with the help of her best friends and Valerie. It was at times a tear-jerker and others you were laughing or cheering the characters on. Although fiction, it was an inspiration and celebrates the strength of single mothers but also the gentle confidence to rely on the person you love for strength as well.

I did not have anything negative to say about this book. The characters were well-written, it had a strong storyline and the pace was good. It gave my emotions a workout. The story does end on a cliffhanger and it does have a sequel, fortunately.

Overall, I would give this book 5 out of 5 stars for being a well-edited and incredibly enjoyable read. I adore a well-written paranormal shifter romance.

This book is best suited for young adults who appreciate a great paranormal shifter romance. There are violent scenes and the story does tug at your heartstrings, be warned.
