Unbalanced by Courtney Shepard is a story about four sisters who have powers to control air, water, earth, and fire. The tale takes in different geographical locations that is Spain, Colombia, Egypt. The story starts with a flashback from where I got to learn how the girls have been in danger from the day they were born. The order - a cult has always wanted them dead, lead by "The Four". No one knows the who "The Four" are. The girls, however, are not alone they have a guardian angel. Who separates them to protect them.

As the story develops, we are introduced to Clays. Clay is sent on a mission to eliminate Asha. Unluckily his plans do not go as planned; his common sense escaped his brains. She confused him enough making him forget his mission; he fell head over heels for her.

As much as there were other characters in the story, I found myself longing for Asha and Clay's part. Maybe it was because they were stupid on love and they kept on being on each other’s nerves; I don't know. All I knew is that they got me hook on this book. The other girls were cool, and their roles were essential too, but Asha stood out among them all for me. She was the first one who I met while reading and her anger sometimes took over her common sense.

The attraction and love among the characters was epic. Since I got the book from the romance category, I didn't expect powers or paranormal kind of story anywhere. This got me by surprise, but it did not change my mind at all. I had also judged the book by its cover; I didn't think for a second that it could be this sweet and engaging.

The author did a great job as the story had a very distinctive flow, I never got lost even for a minute. I literary took a trip from Spain to Colombia at times Egypt, but I was home in my bed the whole time. Time flew by and before I knew it the story was over. I also noted that the author was a master in characterization, I could emotionally connect to Clay. Yes, I fell for him too ( sorry Asha, your man is a charmer).

I rate this book 4 out of 4 because I did not find any grammatical errors and the book met my expectations. I would also recommend it to everybody else since its a page-turner worth peoples time.
