One way or another by Mary J. Williams is the first book in the series is a romance novel that talks about four sisters; Calder, Bryce, Destry and Andy and their quest to find love. Born of an uncaring mother, Billie, but four different fathers, the four sisters love each other to bits and share all their problems. They all have ambitions of bringing change to the world unlike many children born in affluent families who turn out spoilt. The four sisters are unlucky at finding love since most men are only interested in them for their money.

I would hate to have it that people care about me for only what I am worth and not for my personality. In our day to day lives, however, we never get to know who likes us for what we are inside and will never turn their backs on us. In my opinion, the book was a touching read; it unravels how the four sisters handled their troubles dealing with people and discern between the real and the fake, those they can trust from the ones they can’t.

Calder meets Adam who soon gets the idea that their different backgrounds imply that they will have nothing in common. His initial impression is however untrue as what follows is a great love story filled with twists and turns. Adam falls for Calder and has to win not only her love but prove to the other sisters that he genuinely cares for her and is, unlike other men, not interested in her money.

The book is quite a pleasure to read, with an extraordinary plot that pulls you into the world of the lovely characters. Calder and Adam’s lives intertwine through a charity that Calder runs. The unique way the author writes is adoring as it gives life to the characters and indulges the reader in their emotions. The raw chemistry between Adam and Calder highlighting how different they are but yet still so much alike. The escalation of romance between the two main characters is exhilarating as one also gets to know of the sisters’ support of one another. Their love for one another being so palatable.

These characters stole my heart with a story I could not put down. I can’t wait for the next one in the series. You would not want to miss one single part of this outstanding read. I would recommend anyone who loves reading romance novels to get a copy of this book; you won’t regret it. I rate it a perfect 4 out of 4
