One Way or Another by Mary J. Williams

This book is a contemporary romance with a little suspense and mystery thrown in. Calder grew up in a family of wealth and old money along with her three sisters’. Adam on the other hand was raised on the other side of the tracks in a violent neighborhood. Calder might be rich along with her sisters' but that doesn't mean they had a perfect life or perfect parents. They grew up to be independent and fiercely loyal to one another. Adam, on the other hand, grew up an only child, raised by a single mother but received plenty of love from her.

The story tells the tale of Calder and Adam, but it also weaves in the lives of her sister's; Andi, Bryce and Destry. Showing how unique the sisters are in their own way, including how they got their names. They have grown up only being able to depend on each other and are fiercely loyal to one another. Intertwining the sister in the book delivers you a sneak peek and something to look forward to in the upcoming books in the series called The Sisters Quartet.

I love happily ever after books and while this book in the romance sense is an HEA book; it does leave a little cliffhanger that forces you want to hurry up and start the upcoming book. The Author carry out a splendid job capturing my attention in the beginning and keeping it the whole book. Leaving a little mystery at times to make it even harder to set the book down. The details she added about Adam, Calder and her sisters' helps you really get to know them; having them take on important roles in the book. So when the author finishes the book with a little cliffhanger not with Adam but involving the a big change in the sister' lives; forcing you to read the upcoming book in the series to find out what happens.

The only thing I wish the author would have went into was more details about Calder and her sisters' childhood. She only went into it briefly explaining the sisters' names and parentage but left some questions to be answered. I am hoping in the next book more will be revealed. I believe the book was professional edited, I only found a few minor grammar errors.

I rate this book 4 out of 4 stars. I would recommend this book to anymore who loves contemporary romance but even though its an HEA for the couple there is a cliffhanger that involves the sisters.

I like this book, reading it puts me in a good and hopeful mood. The sisters being so close is realistic due to their situation and gives them a firm foundation in an otherwise strange life. I'll happily read the sisters' stories after this! Contemporary romance with other than "they met, she's rude and obnoxious, he persevered and all ends happily" is what I look for now. This has it, Adam and Calder are respectful, loving, and nice to each other in a story line with mystery and suspense. I like it.

'Cache' instead of 'cachet', that error got me. At first I wondered WHAT? Oh. I only remember seeing one more error so not being pulled out of the story added to my enjoyment of this book.

I would normally not choose this book based on its cover but, based on your review, I'd probably give it a chance...!

These sisters did have a great bond. But this book does also show a lot of diversity as in the girls coming from great wealth and not having good parents. They have grown to be strong independent women despite the adversity they have been through.

The sisters' bond was an aspect I really loved in this book. It felt like no matter what happened out in the real world, they could always go back to their home - each other. These kinds of stories that focus on the love of those who truly matter, gives me hope and joy. A lovely review :)
