What would you do if you woke up one day only to get an invitation from Lucifer? A one on one interview with the Devil. What about dinner and romance with the Devil? That was the predicament of Felicity Claire in Devilish by T L Barr.
Felicity is a junior journalist with the New York Times. She wants to become a top journalist and is looking for a story that would take her to the top. So far, all she did were scrape jobs which were not doing anything for her career. She therefore decided to go undercover to expose a high profiled company. This exposure would shake the world and give her career the boost it needs. Until she gets the biggest job she ever could dream of. An exclusive interview with the Devil.
The Devil has escaped from hell. He is on vacation on earth and he intends to enjoy himself as best as he can. He also wants the opportunity to tell his story. A story no one knows and could change the world's perception about him. As a challenge to both himself and Felicity, he sets a plan to seduce Felicity. He intends to make all her dreams and fantasies come true.
Can Felicity stand the temptations of the master playboy himself? What would the Devil do when he discovers that he has fallen in love with a mortal again? And what is this story of Lucifer that can change the world's perception about him?
Devilish is an amazing story with a great plot. The author's ability to combine romance, divinity and suspense is just great. T L Barr is able to weave the two sides of the story into one without complicating the plot. The language used is easy to read and understand. There were very few typing errors which did not distract the reading.
I rate Devilish 4 out of 4 stars as there was nothing to dislike about the book. Barr's ability to alternate between the romance of the two main characters, and the suspense of uncovering the wrong doings of a top company made it almost impossible to put the book down.
I can't wait to read more books by the author. In fact, she could be a great best seller and I say congratulations to her. Her imaginations are almost impossible. I recommend Devilish for any lover of romance, erotic and divinity books. If you don't like these genres, you might want to stay away as there were quite a number of erotic scenes.
