"You really love each other don't you?" Brian asked, equally incredulous. "You were both throwing yourselves in the line of fire for the other. Anyone of you could have gotten shot. And yet. . ." What Anna's stepbrother, Brain says to her and Rafe after a misunderstanding with a gun really proves just how strong their love for each other really is. In Heartaches 3, Anna and Rafe face even more life threatening moments just like this. As a plan to stop Eric Dayton and Peter Preston goes awry, will Anna and Rafe come out alive? Or, will their love for each other push them too far when it comes to protecting the other?

What I liked about this book was how the author made the unpredictable Australian weather match Anna's mood. I saw this as a clever way to foreshadow. When the eerie weather would roll through, I would quickly freeze worrying about what unforeseen problems were lying ahead for Anna and Rafe. I also liked how much stronger Anna became by the end of the series. With help from Rafe and her good friend, Pat, Anna went from being a naïve girl to a strong woman who would stop at nothing to protect the people she loves. What I didn't like was how quickly the book ended. The book had such a great story line, but it was jammed into a little over a hundred pages. This made for a quick read but I feel that the story could have been longer. Nonetheless, the book was great.

The typos I found were minor. Names being switched around or a word missing were the only errors that I found. With only a few errors, it was clear that the book was professionally edited and the small errors that I did find did not stop me from enjoying the book.

Due to the above reasons, I rate Heartaches 3, by H. M. Irwing 4 out of 4 stars. I was on the edge of my seat while reading this book. I was so engrossed in the book that the ending seemed to sneak up on me. In my opinion Heartaches 3 was definitely worth the wait.

Due to explicit content within the book, only mature readers should read this book. This book was worth the wait and did not disappoint. Anyone who loves romance and a strong female lead will absolutely devour this book. Irwing has created characters that are so memorable and life-like that I sometimes found myself thinking that they were real beyond the pages of the book.

Your review makes me begin to wonder what happened in the previous books that landed the two protagonists in such danger in this book. Besides the fact that you allude to Anna having gained strength of character makes me wonder how she was previously. Sounds like a wonderful read for romance lovers!

Thank you. When I read reviews of these books I couldn't wait to get my hands on them. Now, I am glad that I did. Watching Anna grow over the course of three books was great and inspiring. She went through so much to get to where she was by the end. I hope you read them and enjoy them.

I loved how strong Anna became in this book as well, as opposed to the previous books where she always seemed Rafe's approval over everything. I really enjoyed reading this book. Nice review.

The explicit content within the book might make me a little uncomfortable. So, I guess I'll steer clear from this one.

Love the way your write though!

I agree. Anna always sought Rafe's approval and it always made me roll my eyes. If you think about it, seaking approval is what started all of this. She always dressed to please Matt and that also upset me.

I am glad that she did find Rafe though. It just took Anna a while to be able to stand up to Rafe, and tell him what was what.

That is interesting that the author would use the weather as a foreshadowing of plot. It shows a depth not always seen in romances.

Each book made me feel that way when it ended. But even more so when the series ended.
