Unbalanced is categorized under the romance genre in Online Book Club. Despite this, there's so much more happening in this book. These include magic and fantasy. This book definitely has a sequel, so, there's a massive suspense at the end.
The number four as used in this book stands for power and at the same time, danger. The original Four are alchemists brothers who can't stop at anything to renew their power and strengthen their immortality. This book definitely has a sequel, so, there's a massive suspense at the end. These sisters have four powers: water, air, fire and earth. The Order serves The Four and ensures balancing of all elements by capturing of the sisters and handing them over to their masters. In some cases, the sisters are killed as infants while in others, captured as infants and tortured till they reach their full power. However, this time round there's a twist the sisters are separated at birth and the quadruplet brothers emerge.
Asha (fire) , Avia (air) , Mere (water) and Ivy (earth) were separated when they six-month old. On the other hand, Clay (earth) , Rio (water) , Cole (fire) and Aron (air) have been raised by The Order since childhood being trained to fight the others like them. As the sisters have been raised separately, they have no knowledge on the dangers awaiting them in future. Also, it's quite a challenge as they learn to control their powers. However, this is for their safety, as, The Four can trace them together not apart. So, when Asha is captured, it marks the beginning of unending events, frustrations and even fighting for survival.
The author of this book has written an epic book. It blends and mashes so many factors yet it's not a mess, rather, a beautiful masterpiece. It has just the right amount of drama, the right suspense to keep you on edge and perfect romance budding. The book has no filler chapters or gaps, hence, enhancing the readability of the book. The storyline is smooth and steady. Moreover, the plot captivating enough to make one read non-stop to the very end.
I found minimal errors, implying the editing was professionally done. I give this book a 4 out of 4 stars. I really enjoyed reading it and would recommend it to all romance fiction lovers. The book contains some sex scenes and, therefore, I advise only adults to read it. This book is unique in its own way therefore, if interested grab a copy and enjoy.
