How to write about foreshadow 'Mice and Men'

Post by Chaim »

(Hope this is the right place to post it, couldn't decide whether if it belongs in writing discussion or general discussion)
Well I just finished this book called 'Of Mice and Men' which has a lot of hidden messages, hidden details, etc.
So one thing I'm currently focusing on is how nature foreshadows most of the events

For instance, and sorry if it ruins the ending for those who haven't read it, but in the beginning of the book was beautiful, sunny, and peaceful, and how 'nature' plays a part in this was when the author describes the 'deep green pool' means that you are unable to see what will happen, therefore it will foreshadow an event.

Another event was when the heron ate the snake, which then forecasted Lennie's death since it did not happened in the beginning as the heron failed.

So I'm trying to write about this, in formal manners, but I'm having trouble on how to put it in a thesis statement, and how to put it into three body paragraphs, as it mainly speaks about foreshadowing. Since I could just write about how nature foreshadows in just one huge paragraph, but I want them to be in three.

Could anyone help me how to write it in a thesis statement and into three body paragraphs? Like give me some tips on what I should be looking for and should be doing.

Also, may anyone help me search for some quotes? So far all I got is the 'deep green pool' and the 'heron', but so far I could only find those that only talk about the mood, like how Curley's wife got killed and everything was quiet.
So yeah, just quotes on how nature may foreshadow in events. Thanks :)
