No. I for one believe that writing is art. If you are stressing yourself out by doing something you don't want to the quality of the writing will inevitably drop.

When I physically hand write, oh, god, yes. My hand will cramp, and/or my fingers will go numb. I much prefer to use a computer.

My hands don't hurt when I write a lot, but my wrist and knuckle may feel sore if I hold my pen too tightly. I suppose good posture helps too.
