At the beginning, I did, because I was writing some very dark stuff and I just didn't want this to be tied to me. Sometimes because I just didn't want people to know I was behind it. I came up with a penname and just kept using that. Nowaways, people know that I write but very few know what I write. I like that this is just mine, and that I don't have to share it with anyone.

I'll put in my thoughts here. As a young girl, I always loved to read. From the age of about eight, I decided to start writing. I told my father and his second wife of this. Their reply is as follows:

'No one ever made a living out of writing.'

The above statement caused me to hide my pencils and paper pads from my father and step-mother. Even if we went on a family holiday, I brought along my writing supplies. Whenever they caught me with a pencil and paper; both items went into the nearest bin. Now, whenever I have an idea for a new sci fi/epic fantasy novel, I begin, then stop.

I really shouldn't let the past dictate whether I write a novel nor not. Such feelings are hard to suppress, yet I keep having ideas! I have a few friends who want to read some of my work. They are very encouraging, so I'll use that as impetus for me to FINALLY get those ideas flowing from my grey matter, onto paper. Then into the computer!!!!!!
