Using Professional Editing Services

Post by sarahpayne23 »

I am a relatively new writer and have found it difficult to edit my own work. I tried giving my project to friends and family, but have had mixed results. Has anyone used a professional editing service? What would make you consider using one?

I had a recommendation to use [a company] (removed by mod). So far, I have noticed a tremendous difference in my work. They have given me lots of helpful tips and completely proofread my newest story in less than a week.

I am really just curious what all the other writers here use and what is most helpful. Thanks!

Grammarly is very helpful; It is a paid program that helps with punctuation, grammar, and plagiarism. Then when you finish, you can send it off to be proofread by one of their people.
