Bible is the place to get the idea I think. But for a poem you don't have to include very minor details. What is important is the way you narrate it, expressing what you want to say, rather than what exactly happened. I don't mean to change the history. But a poem is the view of author about a particular event. So just with what you know, you can write a poem
