Many things inspire me, mostly people, you only have to read some of the posts in this forum and you can feel the passion that people have for their reading and writing or moans and groans, just reading other peoples opinions on a certain book and the way they have interpreted it inspires me, I find it fascinating.

I think other people are the biggest creative inspiration; their experiences and thoughts.

MY OWN LIFE inspires me. You can never predict what challenges and unexpected triumphs will occur in your life. RELATIONSHIPS inspire me. Some of the craziest, boldest actions and thoughts of others around me have a great influence. MY SON inspires me. You can tell stories to people and they might forget. But you can write and leave them a tangible gift that one day, and everyday, they can read it and learn from everything that you have experienced in life. If I was gone tomorrow, I would want my son to know me and who I was as a person through my writings.

People inspire me! I love to go out and go people watching! One of my favorite places to go to watch people is the O'Hare airport  (whenever I travel anyway). I also go to the library to not only read but find things to write about. Music also inspires me. I love listening to classical music and trying to find stories in the notes and music. :) I found so many things that can inspire me it's not even funny!

It's a moment. Or a thought in my mind. I hear a line of dialogue of mine. It could transpire from anything, as simple as a crushed book of matches on a window sill at the theater. I get them often. Even the most random nutty thoughts.

I worked in theater for years as an actress, so was primed to understand language in character driven dialogue. Various tensions and how a word is like a color that can be the start of a masterpiece or 'tone' of the work. In sketch and especially stand up understanding the behavior of words, how we formulate a character, or a 'scene'. A sentence, like a first great line of a book and it springs and opens it all up. However, the writing isn't difficult. It's then working it, rewriting. I lately, have had many of those moments or a thought start something, and I just happen to shut it off and never write it down. I think I should again, because I am so in love with fiction more than ever now. Which is why I joined this forum. The passion of others who value writing and reading, on any subject, genre or form of writing is so instrumental as well.

I'm inspired by my dreams, random ideas that pop up in my mind and daily life situations.

I am inspired by the lack of intelligence most people have(I blame schools and society as much as I blame them). It keeps me motivated to entertain the smart people as a reward for making it so far in life not hindered by everything in it. Honestly, this is going to ruffle a few feathers but avid book readers inspire me too, some of whom are snobs and take life way too seriously. I want to show everyone that life is a joke, a funny one, and that its ok to laugh at it.

Primarily, nature and music.

Without either of those, I don't think I'd have the urge to write!

I'm also a very emotional person, so I loved what someone said about "emotions resulting from depression and anxiety disorder" - yep, me too! Haha
