I don't really consider myself a writer, yet. I do have 3 blogs I write on and I am very slowly working on yet another book. I hope this one I will finish. When I do, then I'll consider myself a writer.

I write fiction, nonfiction, and poetry. I've published short stories and articles. I have yet to write anything book-length.

The fiction has been science fiction, fantasy, and horror, so far, but I have designs on writing a mystery, when I finally get around to writing a novel. But I'm not likely to start that for a while yet. My major work in progress is a fantasy in verse, and until I finish that I don't want to start anything else complicated.

My blog is about poetry, books, and writing, and I suppose that counts as writing nonfiction. I'm doing a lot more of that since I started the blog.

I love writing, I've been working on one book for several years. (Which some authorities claim is idiocy, we'll see). I intend to try getting published, hopefully once my time is a bit more free for such an endeavor.

I am in the "attempting to write" process. It is coming slowly because I find it hard to find the time to keep at. Not really comfortable enough to talk about plot etc...yet. I'm hoping to post parts of it when I feel like it is done.

I am an unpublished author....well in the losest sense anyway. I have just finished writing and editing my first book, and had given it to a focus group of my target audience to read and see how it goes with them. from there who knows, maybe i'll get lucky.

I write fantasy novels. At least I try to but I always give up halfway and delete the whole thing. Then imagine another storyline or a better one. And start writing again. Think the magic is in imagining the landscape and characters and bringing them to life, or maybe so in the fantasy genre at least.

I've written for a few newspapers including one in Florida that gave me a lot of creative freedom (I wrote for the lifestyles section). I'm also working on a novel, and I write for Web sites when I have the time.

I write poetry and fiction (usually fantasy/scifi). I have finished two "novels" though the first is truly awful and the second is in the process of being revamped. Currently I am more busy with writing essays and papers for class, which is the least fun thing to write, but necessary.
I do hope to someday become a published author.

I do write, but I'm not sure what you consider a "writer" - if you are talking professionally published, haven't done that yet. I self published a book when I was in college. It was a good experience, but I've learned a whole heap since then. It's called Heartfelt Cases and is probably about 4billionth in sales over at amazon b/c I never really advertised it:-).
