Traveling really inspires my writing. I love to see new places, and people watching is so much fun.
Music is another wonderful inspiration to me. I love the ballads from the 1950s, especially by crooners like Frank Sinatra.

I am most inspired by people and observing them in every day situations. I also find inspiration from nature and being in a quiet place.

Listening to piano music, reading other books, and simply thinking.
You can't get a cup of tea big enough or a book long enough to suit me.

Reading others books, or just stalking on others life. Not quite a big thinker about the world and its destiny.

This is kind of morbid... but death inspires me.
For some reason, every spurt of inspiration I've ever had in my life has always taken place right after someone I know has died. First, when I was in high school, my grandmother died (in my house! Eep!) and I went on a massive writing spree that lasted until I went off to college.
Then my mom died when I was in my final year of grad school. After graduation, I churned out three novels in one year.
My dad passed away just this past spring, and I've been like, "I HAVE TO WRITE, NOW!" at all moments, ever since.
My stories never have anything to do with death (well, except for one), but I guess it's all the emotional stress that builds up the inspiration... that's my best guess...

Reading novels and even reading books on writing. Honestly, when people say they get inspiration from anywhere, I have no reason not to agree. I let my mind wander and ideas just come to me. I can sleep and wake up with an idea. Watching the way people interact. My own experiences. When I am highly strung and need to unwind by writing. Essentially, I get ideas anywhere and everywhere. There's no limits to our imagination. Even research gives me ideas.

I usually get random ideas while walking down the street, sometimes brilliant but by the time I can sit down and write something it's all gone..
