This sounds strange but being around people with powerful auras. Once or twice in my life I've been around a person that practically leaked positive energy to the point I could just sense it without even identifying what or where it was coming from.

Everything we see, feel and hear can be a source of inspiration: music, travels, people, memories, children, pictures, etc. all the things around us.

And some good music! Music can set the tone of whatever I'm trying to write... And change it drastically.

I get inspiration from just about anything. Books, movies, tv shows, nature, art, my cat, my own stories. In my case, writing one book led to writing 6 more, and I am working on an 8th.

Inspiration for me comes from talking to people and learning about their lives. Even if it's just sitting and listening about their thoughts on anything (or accidentally eavesdropping on peoples conversations) it's always inspirational to get another perspective on the world to write about or add to a character.

I'd get my inspiration mostly from my family and friends and even on natures, other books, thinking of other author's accomplishment or achievement and other simple things.

Just the shear prescence of something will inspire me to write about it . You know like when your in a crowd of people that are obviously thinking something, but nobody will dare to speak it.
Everyday things.
Situations I find myself in.
Watching other people.
Random things everywhere around me.

It just hits me like a ton of bricks.

Sometimes it's a single word, songs on the radio have a way of inspiring me, but whether is a spoken word from some random person or from a song on the radio my mind has a way of just taking that word and running with it.

Music. Not from a particular band or anything, although Hans Zimmer is one of my favorites.
