I suffer of utter paranoia :) when it comes to backup copies. One copy stays on the "machine", another copy on an external USB drive and a third goes to cloud - oh dear.

I usually type my writings in Word and store it in a story folder on my computer. Just in case something would happen I usually email copies to myself also.

I''m not very good with computers and I like to write curled up in a comfortable chair so I always start out writing in notebooks. Then I go to the computer for my editing because it's so much easier to move things around to where I want them if I change my mind about how I want something. Ater editing, then I use flash drives.

I am so terrified that something will happen to my computer and I will lose all of my data! Gyah! Cloud storage makes me feel a little bit better...

I have my WIP's saved on my computer, USB, Scrienver and Evernote. I love Evernote because it can download anywhere else (including phones) so I can make notes and continue writing someplace else.

All of my ideas are in notebooks that I have kept since I was nine. I write in pen/pencil faster than I type but I still write on the computer some times. I have half a story saved on my computer and the other half written in one of my notebooks. I also save the stories on a flash drive ,a disk. I print out copies so I can have it with me when I go to school to have something to do when My teachers make us do presentations or we are just watching a video. I have even took pictures of my writing and saved it as my screen saver. :D   :P
I love to write :D this looks like me when I don't know what to say :eusa-think: .

I knew I was paranoid for a reason! Last week my battery on my laptop died and now I have to keep the thing plugged in all the time. I need backup storage or a new computer immediately in case this computer is on the verge of death itself.

The original is a notebook, handwritten, there's the typed up on a pc, and the cloud safety copy. Anything electronic is password protected using a cunning cypher that no one could possibly crack.

I have an "in progress" folder where I keep things that I've written on paper. I also have an app that I use when planning or outlining. Most of my stuff, however, is stored on my external hard drive and a flash drive.
