I think it's out of place for you to write but don't like to read. Writing and reading go hand in hand. When you read, you know what others are thinking which can also help in your writing.

When I write, I also read and know the thoughts of others. I don't write blindly because I choose to write what the people are in dire need of. That's my style of writing and it has been working for me.
