I wonder how it works.

The website says "This is made possible by the sponsors who advertise on this site." Is the money coming from placing the ads or the users have to click on the ads?

Also, is the money enough?

the money comes from the ads at the bottom, the users don't have to click them. every time that you click on a word the page refreshes, thus a new ad appears.

I agree! I think Knightss is great for posting this :) He has alot of wisdom it seems, I read his blog (The American Sheep) excellent piece.He speaks out and puts things out there for the greater cause of mankind, we need people with his knowledge and compassion in the government, he is a 'real' Knight in my book :D

There is also www.thehungersite.com which is a similar thing - but you just click a button. You can only go once a day.

It's a cute site and idea. Almost too cute.

I can't find a note on it anywhere that the company is a nonprofit.

FreeRice does seem to have fancy UN backing.

Still, I'd hate to think that he might be making a fortune by selling ads and getting all of us to participate and nobody has thought to ask about the overhead / profit motive / etc.

Am I too cynical?

Did I miss anyplace where he provides details on his financials?
