Shades of Shadows
This is probably awful but i'm always up for throwing it all out there

Rip me apart, if you'd like
Shades of Shadows
The bell tolls again, he could hear the whispering
From his windows. Another gone, they said,
Another lost amongst the shades of shadows.
When night falls, he’ll scamper and play, against
The backdrop of the sylvan path or the city’s maze.
He was young, you see, merely 12.
Not as prepared, yet more prepared,
Then anyone will ever be.
Death wasn’t a thought, you see,
To this boy of merely 12.
It was another day
Amongst the grass and leaves,
Where he made his way through the grove.
Billy, they said, Billy is dead,
Billy will no longer roam,
Billy, they sighed, Billy will lie,
Amongst the grass and leaves,
Beneath the summers breeze,
As we carry on life
For what reason, I wonder, why?
Billy, they said.
Reading it again, it's pretty bad haha

I can never and have never been able to write poems. But i do love to read them.
It's really good, i quite like it. It's simple, over complicating a complicated emotion, i think, often leads to the writer not really conveying the emotion.Shades of Shadows

Death is very hard to write about it and its probably even harder to get over. Do you think there is a link there?
