Good luck, you have got at least 50% of the world's population behind you, but be careful out there.

That's great! Legal schmansy (did I just make up a word?) stuff aside, I think that'll be really cool to read.

OMG LOL... when I read the title of this thread, I totally thought it meant something like:
I will write with the intention of getting girls.
Like, "Will work for food"
"Will write for girls"
That kind of things.
It cracked me up for a bit.

I think you shouldn't limit your audience to just women, as everyone said above, i think it's incredibly important to educate the general public about women's rights. I'm not sure if you meant "depression" exactly, or more like subjugation or persecution? I think you'll need to clarify your language a bit! Good luck, it's a worthy endeavor.

Some genres of screen and prose are so male-centric I have no issue for stuff tailored for women. However I always am wary of those who use 'equality' as a sheep skin for misandry..

As long as the material has a positive message to the girls, I think it is great. Sure they don't need to be shaded from the real world, but our job as women is to encourage girls to grow into strong, independent, happy women.

That's a great idea! If you were to consider writing on such topics, I'm sure you'll have loads of readers. Women's rights' books are desperately needed.

That's a wonderful thing to do. I don't think you want to start the 'punished' thing simply because it sounds like you have a chip on your shoulder.
But, there are a lot of wonderful messages that can be sent in the direction of young girls. With all the pressure media is putting on young girls to be flawlessly beautiful and have the perfect, sexy love life it will take a little nudging for them to realize that that world is completely fake.

This is a amazing example of positive media direction towards girls concerning the Hollywood facade of flawless beauty.

If you are a girl struggling with your outer self image watch the above link.
Watch as this gorgeous women takes off her make-up only to end up looking like anyone else. The music is amazing as well. It carries a wonderful message saying that you don't and should not have to pressure yourself impressing anyone and being something you are not:)

Seems like a great topic that could greatly impact a lot of people's lives. You will have to speak carefully on such a topic, but I defiantly think you should embrace you values and pursue this idea. Very interested to hear more!
