I'am working on my epic fantasy novels series and would like to see what is your opinion?Do you think it is too epic?
Okey my world is huge 9 Continens,flying cities,oceans and seas deep there and in the ground with cities.Differenf human cultures with forms of government,27 new created fantasy races from me,huge fights some with over 900 000 fighters.Over 400 interesting characters.Long history with everythig like in real live Drama,love,Humor,betrayed,Cruelity,Suffering...I plan to write between 13 and 15 books around 2700 pages will add 100-200 extra color pages for interesting scenes,races or characters.
I want to write something fresh and really interesting.
P.S English isn't my first language.

It sounds interesting. In what language will you write the books? Good luck!

Instead of wondering if a story that may requires13-15 books will be "too epic" and imagining the page count it will take, and what color plates should be included, why not just write the first one and see what happens?
Maybe I'm just lazy (alright, I am lazy) but it seems to me a plan to write 15 books is a lot more daunting than a plan to write one. Don't worry about volume 11 until after volume 1 actually exists.
Creating new worlds and populating them with other than earthly species certainly is not unheard of especially in the fantasy genre so I can't imagine that the concept would be overwhelming or "too epic" for readers.

Fisrt of all I want to write it my way.I won't care for the money I invest in her publishing.Yes there are a lot of fantasy books but not like the one I working on.I want to show really epic fights and they will take a lot of pages.War tactics with sieges and the power of every character from races.Their different warrior hierarhy way ot living and thinking.On top of that from the begining to the end will be a misteries that will eager you to know it.

I guess if you're asking our opinions, you haven't yet worked out your target audience. It would be wise to do further research, maybe in Young Adult (especially with those extra colour pages) as well as Adult areas. Fantasy has many sub-genres. Personally the lengthy fight scenes wouldn't appeal to me. Your idea of 13+ novels pre-planned (or pre-written) is a good one, it creates consistency and gives a publisher confidence in your work.
Sounds like an epic endeavour in more ways than one and I wish you every success

Hi NL89
I think there is always room in the world for more fantasy fiction. What language will you be writing in, and would it be translated into English? Good luck with all your endeavours.

I fail to see the connection between the OP's question and your take on it. Could you explain?

@FNAWrite
Could I suggest if you are quoting an earlier post (or part of an earlier post) that you use the quote button (top right corner of the reply box) otherwise the whole sequence of the thread gets lost.

There are 10 posts here. I'm quoting from the post two posts above the quote. Anybody that loses track probably couldn't answer my question anyway.

I think that could be really fascinating. I'd just be wary about overwhelming your reader with a lot of characters. If you focus on just a few with others as the backdrop and introduce the information about the races and cultures gradually, I think it could be great. I just feel like I've read a couple epic books that throw an overwhelming amount of information at the reader all at once. I think there's a pretty good base of interest in fantasy and battle-heavy books.

I agree. Introduce the information gradually through put the series that way you don't overwhelm your readers. Best of luck!
