Recently, I've embarked on writing a story through the medium of making it all appear as an extended thread on Reddit.

Also recently, a friend showed me an excerpt from a story that was written with only the dialogue of one character, nothing else.

A friend has been looking at coding an app that would track reading habits and cause adjustments to the story based on those parameters as well.

What I want to hear is any and all thoughts about a novel way to write a novel.

Well, of course, it's already been done: "Ulysses" by James Joyce. As you know, each chapter is written in a different style, and each chapter is a thematic parallel to the Odyssey. And of course, one of the most complex novels ever written, mark of true genius.

My advice -- be very very careful when essaying to write in a wholly different narrative style or technique. Not that it cannot be done, but it generally requires consummate skill and literary topnotch brainpower. Otherwise it comes across as confused and wandering. I've tried this sort of thing before in a short story or two and failed miserably. Yet when writing in a conventional style, I've managed to sell quite a few magazine articles, short stories, and 2 mystery novels. But "experimental" style? Not my cuppa tea.
