If you put out interesting content in a timely fashion - and drive traffic to it using things like Digg, Twitter etc... you can make a bit of money through adsense.
Real good money is made if you can find a keyword term that is used quite a bit but doesn't have a lot of competition on google - you can set up a a blog and try to get it to the top of google for that term - and have some CPA or affiliate offer.

A few things should be clear though: while it is possible to make money from a blog or even earn your bread and butter from it, it's not something that happens over night and it takes a lot of work, study and creativity to succeed.
In short, you should be prepared to work hard (just likewith any other respectable job) and you shouldn't quit your day job

1) Exploit valuable keywords. This means you shouldn't waste your time writing about things that don't pay well when people click on ads. Writing about life insurance and rental properties, etc., will pay better than writing about your weekend trip on the bike path.
2) Promote your work. In order to get your writing in front of other people, you've got to spend a lot of time posting comments on blogs, setting up RSS feeds and doing research. In reality, you should spend about 50 percent of your time promoting your work.
3) Exploit popular topics. i.e. check out google trends to see what people are googling. If it's something that interests you, take 30 min. to crank out a post on it, then make sure you submit it to feeds using a free service like pingomatic.
Sorry, I could go on forever but don't want to be annoying! Good luck, I'm trying to become a pro blogger, but there's a pretty steep learning curve. I've been at for a year and haven't made much yet. Still hopeful that I will!

Hey there, sharon.gmc wrote:Is there anyone here who is blogging full time and earns good money from it? Can you tell me how long have you been doing it and how much are you earning now and how are you making money from blogging?
Most people use blogs to promote things. I blog myself and I use my blog and tie it into my life and products that are relevant to what I'm blogging about. I actually just started and I'm still trying to feel things out but once you actually start the work and get traffic to your blog or website (however you want to do it) the money will start to come in. It takes a lot of patience because things won't happen over night. You have nothing to lose but everything to gain. Right now, I'm an affiliate for Barnes and Noble (i love books lol), K-Mart, Kohls, and a few others. Just start off small and get the hang of it. Hope this helps!!
