Though this is mainly a reading forum, I do notice the occasional writer. How many of us are writers? What do you write and have you been published?

Hey, I have written some short stories as well as some poems too. My poems are related to love & nature. My short stories really express the culture and the habits of Florida Gulf Coast people, When I was in my vacation over there, I had written many short stories based on that environment, :)

I write whatever comes to my mind. But just very recently I've decided that I want to get serious about my writing. I think I might want to become a freelance author. Just as a side thing though. I don't think I would do it for a career.

Many writers define kiss as a love, but in philosophical sense, it is a deep affection of heart and it exposed and chracterised through lips, intentionally it having so many names, whatever, it is a kiss having same status as a deep affection of heart." specialise...........

I use to write as a hobby when I was a teen. I loved it. It was my passion.

Somehow, I've lost that.

Trying to get it back. I'm writing more and more lately. I'd like to get published. We'll see.

Hi I am new here so wanted to pop in and say hello.

I have been exploring writing for many years and at last managed to complete a short story. This one I self published because it is packed with photos.
To be honest I am working on a harder more serious book and needed to break away and write something lighter.

I am happy I found this forum, love reading!

I have one book out (don't care to promote it), have written for various magazines and websites. Besides my blogs, you can currently find my most recent work on filmthreat.com.

I've been writing since I was little. I've published short stories, completed a novel, and I'm currently working on another novel. I'm also the editor for an online literary magazine. I've written a couple of articles, but I don't do that too often. Mostly when I write, I write fiction.

Writing, is expression but it is also so much more.

reading some of what is here, I can see that there are some that write for pleasure, some that write for therapy and even some that write for just themselves.

I have been published in various newspapers, magazines, books, all off line.

Then there are many online sources, but I dont really count those, I count only those that can be actually credited.

Writing can be easy it can also be a frustrating experience, the old cliche about a writer and an editor getting into a huff over something that the editor has scraped out of a book or article can be a seriously intense thing.

I remember in college threatening an editor of the local college newspaper over a hack job in editing that slanted the article to a different viewpoint than what was intended.

I was angry enough to do something crazy...

However all of that is just a small part of what it is really like...[/i]
