Writing deeply emotional poetry just means you are more in tune with your emotions and desire to write about them more than others who are not so in tune. It doesn't mean that you are depressed, just that you have access to those emotions.

Writing emotional poems does not necessarily mean you are depressed. It can sometimes mean you understand emotions and are able to translate that into words.

Poetry is used as an expression of emotions on all spectrums, not saying that the poet is necessarily depressed could just be displaying the emotion for the reader to feel

Not necessarily. Some people have a superhuman ability to empathize with other people and feel what others are feeling.

It doesnt mean youre depressed, it can mean that you are/were sad while writing it. It can mean you know how to express your feelings.

you could also just be writing the poem as a piece of art rather than an actual feeling you felt.

Not necessarily, they're just expressing their feelings.

I don't think emotional poems are products of the poet's depression. Writing is like a spirit. There are times a writer feels very lethargic to write and there are times he is just fired up to write. It could be the time the poet writes that deeply emotional poem is the time the inspiration comes and he is at his creative best. Emotional poems are not just products of depression

Personally, I don't think writing deeply emotional poems means you are depressed. Most times, writing is not personal. You could be narrating or expressing something that someone else is going through.

When you write deep emotional poems, it doesn't truly mean you are depressed. It could be a form of sharing some of the experiences of others to the outside world and making them know what the people are going through.

It depends, most times people feel the most motivated when they're going through some things or after recovering from something. It's not always because one is depressed.
