I think every writer when he or she starts a story thinks about the beginning. It can very difficult to start it. Are there any hints or advice how to make your start very catching?

Confuse the reader in the beginning so that he would go on reading and then would find all the details as he moves on..

Yes it is difficult to begin the story once we start we can continue our rhythm. According to me in the beginning you should attract the audience towards it so that he can go through the entire story if in the beginning the story is boring reader will discontinue because he don’t want to waste his time. So in beginning attract the reader this should be the main motto of the writer.

My approach has always been to use a lot of imagery. Once you capture the reader into your world with that imagery, they tend to stay interested and enjoy retreating to that "other world". Also, don't introduce too many characters at once, it becomes confusing.

Be clear and don't write weird names, places,..etc, that ur reader wouldn't know or wouldn't keep in mind. Make sure the beginning is easy to the reader and try to be creative with the writing, so the reader would like to read more.

This is for me the hardest part on an article or story. It's like the opening is the first impression and you only get one shot. Once I have found the right opening the rest of the story goes a lot easier!

When asked about writing Ernest Hemingway sated "“All you have to do is write one true sentence, and then go on from there.” I think that often this is the truth.

Keep in mind the beginning of a story doesn't always need to come first. Write the parts you already know will happen, then when you have some substance down figure out how you got there.

This is definitely where I'm having the most difficulty. I start off with these grandiose plots only to become overwhelmed with the fine details. The beginning is the most vital point of the story even if it's not the most enthralling. You lose or keep the reader within the first chapter.

I don't really read books but I am a movie addict. When I was in high school our teacher told us that a good way to excite the readers is making the ending hanging. Let the readers figure out or making their own ending. I've seen a lot of movies that have hanging endings and believe me, I'm making my own ending of the story.

Make an outrageous statement.

Find a point in the plot that is exciting and start there. Don't start with twnty pages about the lanscape and the character's backstory. Get straight into the action. Get your reader excited about what they're reading. The rest can come later. First you want to hook your reader.

I start of with character interaction displaying their idiosyncrasies. This develops curiosity within the reader without giving to much away or being over descriptive.

I know its hard to start it up but I take my time with it. I make sure that the first paragraph are something that will raise questions in the reader's mind.

Starting point is the most difficult part for me,, Hence I always start with writing whatever comes to my mind.. sometimes this makes for a good start and sometimes I have to edit it.. but still it works for me,, :P
