ok im quite new to these forums and ive never asked for anyone to critique me before so go easy on me please!
ive decided to make a go at my first novel and so far the ideas are flowing the basic plot of my story is a girl who is in her twenties who has gone through a lot in life, theres bullying, miscarriage, domestic violence a lot of really controversial stuff going on in her past. the first 5 or so short chapters go into these a little bit, my next idea is after going through her past it turns out she is writing an autobiography to get closure on her past by writing things down in third person in order to identify with her problems and move on.
so the story would then be present tense and what is going on in the girls life now that she is writing this book and the sort of feelings shes getting and how its affecting her day to day life.
im thinking of ending it with her becoming quite a high profile celebrity with everything she wants in life sort of rising out the ashes and making good out of a bad thing. not really sure what type of celebrity she would become whether this would be that she ended up publishing her autobiography or whether she would do something else. another idea i had that i thought would appeal to my target audience (late teens, early twenties) would be to have a whirlwind romance with a high profile celebrity like an actor/member of a boyband.
so i just thought i would like to see whether this all sounds like a good plot and the sort of thing people would like to read and like i said go easy on please.
the other thing was i wanted to know if people think being 20 i dont have enough life experience yet to write a novel as some people have said this to me before.
