Then saith the man unto me, Beautiful one, ye knoweth not of which ye speak. I forgive thee for such. I just as soon take thee unto my wife, for thine eyes is ardent, likened to no other. As for her Lorde Marius, she hath gone away a good measure. To whence she is, no one knoweth; instead, be unto me and thou wilt surely live.
Again, the people didst laugh.
Then said I to him, O ye of indifference; Just as ye canst not add one day unto me, neither canst ye taketh one day also. By thine own iniquity shalt thee perish; for thy mind giveth no thought to thine own words.
He saith to me, I didst hear of thy travels and ye wouldest have the people believe; but I shall say to thee little one of great beauty: Thou canst not be the Sibelle of Mylbroke. Ye art but a child. To all prophets of wars past hath they been men of great age and stature and didst fight great battles. They taketh upon them honor and strength. Looketh thee. Why wouldest ye bear the sword with no armor? Thou wilt surely fall quickly.
