Concentration plays a vital role in writing. With deep concentration you can make the chain of ideas and can write them in a steady way.

Your comment is so true! I think when you write about what you are passionate about this level of concentration is easily reached and the words do flow!

Agreed. As a freelance writer, I do think concentration is one important thing you keep in mind. First, you gotta love what you do, then you study and learn from it..and if you are really into it...concentration comes next. 8)

Of course, it's one of the most important aspects to writing whatever. Even school projects takes concentration.

I agree. But a great deal of concentration is very difficult to achieve!

I agree...and disagree. >_>

I know, it's weird!

But, I say this because when I'm writing, sometimes I don't have to concentrate so hard (or even at all) to get out a scene that's so vividly crafted in my mind. I just start writing and the words start flowing. They may not be the best of words and I may have a few spelling and grammatical errors, but this is the writing phase, so it doesn't matter. Those spelling and grammatical errors can be handled during the editing phase. During the editing phase, I definitely have to concentrate on what I'm writing.

I usually get obsesessed, so concentration comes easily. The dogs could be barking, the children fighting, and the tea kettle sreeching on the stove, and I hear none of it if I'm in my writing mode.

As for me I don't believe in concentration. The best way for me to listen to the tapping of laptop buttons and this sound helps me to write and concentrate.

Concentration comes with the love of what you are concentrating on.....

I have to have quiet when I'm writing so I can concentrate. I have to concentrate so I can remember how I want to say something. Ideas keep popping into my head while I'm writing and I have to jot them down in the margins while I write and if I get distracted then either I can't remember the whole idea to jot it down, or I can't remember how I wanted to say what I was writing when the idea popped into my head. I think concentration if very important to me and that's why I do my writing early in the morning before anyone else is up. Also, it's a good time to jot down dreams for future story ideas before things start happening for the day and I forget my dreams.
