One of my favourite authors for romantic holiday reading is Sheila O'Flanagan.

Some of the titles I've read are "Three's a Crowd", "The Perfect Man, "Stand By Me" and "All For You" but if you're pressed for time, I suggest her short stories in "Connections" which have a great holiday island romance feel.

Read "Last Lovers," by William Wharton. It's the only real love story I've ever read.

John Green- The fault in our stars.
It's dramatic, but romantic in a beautiful and different way

And I forgot Georgette Heyer for Regency romance. She also wrote several mysteries, which usually have some sort of couple involved somewhere ...

Another vote for Janet Evonavich. Also Donna Kauffman can be pretty fun as well.
