Hey,
Need an insight into the world of writing?
Mostly on the topic of getting into a well known character's head?
And writing their thoughts?
Any help or like i said insight would be most helpful.

You gotta give us a bit of a helping hand, Angel. What kind of genre, male or female, human/vampire/werewolf, teenager or middle-aged, romance or tragedy, medieval or modern day?
The list goes on but I think the best way to begin a character, say a feisty heroine, is to visualise someone you know and take out their best bits, add some of your own reactions and eventually a new personality will form. Give her strong dialogue, not um, er or dah, words with meaning which make a statement and define her character. In the case of the protagonist, dialogue should be positive. Instead of saying "I think we should go to the north side of the lake this afternoon" say "We are going to the lake - now". This moves the story along, keeps the pace going. It's up to you whether or not your character falls into a trap or rescues her friend. However, I'm sure you'll find those emotions for her when the need arises.
(PS. I'm not a big fan of "I" thoughts in italics inside someone's head. Verbal dialogue, inflections, facial expressions, convey to the reader what they are thinking).
