The sample triggers a surge of complex thoughts; at the stage she is in, she is unable to focus on herself and her well-being. This is an excellent book for anyone, especially young people who feel they have no one to turn to. I have added it to my reading list. Thank you for your informative review, which covers the topics discussed.

This coming of age story is about overcoming life struggles through the gaze of young adults who come in contact with one another. I can definitely see this book being turned into a movie or series. Congrats to the author for having the BOTD.

I like how it highlights quiet connections and shows how even small acts can make a big difference. It’s nice to see mental health handled with care while still leaving space for hope and healing. Sounds like a powerful read for teens. Congrats on BOTD!

Humans have inbuilt need for connectivity, and this shows how this intersection can make a world of difference in our lives in trying moments. "Swimming in a Sea of Stars" by Julie Wright shares how Addison, after a failed suicide attempt, impacts the lives of four fellow students, each of whom have struggled with pain and trauma in their own lives. Their story inspire courage, compassion, and empathy, and especially for those with traumas and scars of past hurts. Great lessons and encouragement for teens.

We never imagine the impact our decisions have on others. Swimming in a Sea of Stars is the perfect book to show this, as it follows a woman's return to school after a failed suicide attempt.

This is one of the best books that looks at the issue of mental health, and I immensely enjoyed reading it. I am glad that almost every reader finds the discussion questions very critical and essential for engaging in conversations surrounding mental health even after the end of the story. Thank you, @Erin Dydek, for the amazing review.

Well done on a well written review! This book is a book that stands out. Addison's story gives hope to 4 other students who feel life is just too hard to continue living. And maybe to those who read it, it might just give that flicker of hope too. Congrats on BOTD.

Addison your struggle with anxiety and fear is something that many can understand we don't always have to be strong sometimes being honest about how we feel is the first step towards healing.🍀

One of the phrases used to describe the story about "feeling stressed, insecure, and sad" sounded like teen angst to me, and with young adults as the genre, it put me on high alert, since I am quite a bit older. Yet, after reading the reviews more thoroughly, I am undecided, because the book does have interesting points and we truly are all interconnected. Congratulations on BOTD!

Amazing book cover, it caught my attention, it speaks to me. While suidice / attempted suicide is a very tough and emotional topic, I love that the book shares stories of hope and empathy. The book covers just one day in the life of Addison but I can imagine it is filled with emotions.

Although I have not read the book, I have read the review and the sample. I want to start by saying thank you so much for your really insightful review. The book tackles a delicate subject, and it is quite relevant given the prevalence of mental health problems among children and even adults today. Like the stars in a constellation, it emphasizes the value of cooperation and connectivity in overcoming life's obstacles.

This book offers those struggling with mental health a sense of worth and an opportunity to educate those who are not directly affected. I commend the author for writing this book, as we are living in a time when such topics are relevant and in need of awareness. Thank you for the review.
