Review of Winger by Andrew Smith

Post by Salwa »

When I picked up this book, I was not too sure about what it would be like. Usually, I do not read books with male protagonists, but the synopsis of this book caught my attention. Once I picked up this book, I could not put it down. This book is the story of Ryan Dean, who is a junior in a boarding school. Now Ryan is 14, whereas his fellow classmates are older than him. Not only that, but Ryan does something which gets him into trouble and he is now staying in the Opportunity Hall with the biggest bully on his rugby team. It also has the part of him having the biggest crush on his best friend, Annie. This story makes you laugh, cry, angry, and all the other emotions you can put into words. Definitely a 5 out of 5 star book. I would highly recommend it.
