Book Review: The Summer I Turned Pretty by Jenny Han

Post by lennon_fontaine14 »

The Summer I Turned Pretty made me realized that I spend most of my summer vacations in a complete state of dull dull dull dull moments. Hahaha! And as you may guess, I’m completely and utterly envious to all the fictional characters in this book who got to spend their summer wisely.

Summer or not, The Summer I Turned Pretty is a must-read, peeps! Though the entire novel focused on Belly’s sort-of-a-whirlwind lovestory and er, transformation I guessed, I like how Jenny Han never puts the family aside- they are always part of all her novels which was really really good. Realistic enough and how things really happens when teenagers do fall in love makes you go back and reminisced your own.

Well, I really love To All The Boys I’ve Loved Before than this one. But, it only goes to show that Jenny Han really transformed into something better and nice. I like how light her novels are, like you can read it whenever and wherever you want to. You’ll smile in different chapters and fall in love with the characters easily.

And guys, I am Team Jeremiah here. I’ll never deny that Conrad is the real hottie here but, he’s acting like an a-hole sometimes.
