Rumble by Ellen Hopkins

Post by ryoku »

Rumble is this months Booksplosion book of the month and I wasn't planning on participating but when I saw it at my library I couldn't resist. This book touched so many difficult topics such as religion, suicide, bullying, and so much more. This is the second Ellen Hopkins book that I have had a chance to read and I really like how there is so much bower behind her simplistic writing style. It makes her books easy for anyone to understand. Also having her books written in verse they are very short reads for those who do not have that much time to read do to their busy schedules. I think that everyone can relate and take something away from reading this book.

I have read almost all of Ellen Hopkins books but I have yet to read this one. To be honest the only reason why I haven't read it yet is because I didn't know it existed  I am so glad you wrote this post!! Now I must read this because i am sure it is such a good read!

I just thought I should come back to this post and say that I have now read this book. It was extremely good and worth reading for sure. It feels like all of Ellen's books are easy reads and so touching. I loved it :) It was just as good as the rest!

I thought Rumble by Ellen Hopkins was pretty good. I can't say it was better than some of her other books, but like usual, the content of the story is spot on! Covering everything from anger, religion, bullying, etc., I believe this story can relate to many people. On an even better note, the way it is written, in short verses, makes it easy to finish the book.
