I'm not only a major fan of the book series, but I have read it so many times it feels like a part of me. There are characters and new excitements in each book that got me hooked and to be honest, I wish I could erase my memory and read it for the first time all over again!

I was only able to read the first book and I definitely could not bring myself to read the rest of the series. At times, the writing was dry and the premise was simply unbelievable. To me, a book series must draw me in and keep me hooked if I want to keep reading.

Your review was fantastic. Great job!

This is my daughter's favorite series so far. She was disappointed in the movie though.

I read the trilogy. Haven't read Kill Order yet. The Maze Runner was a fast read and was interesting to see through Thomas' eyes. Left me with a lot of questions that made me want to read the next book. I told my daughter that it had a Lord of the Flies feeling to it. She informed me that it was among the books the author listed as what influenced his writing.

I thought The Maze Runner was an awful book. The idea behind it is pretty cool, but I just couldn't stand the writing style. I found myself struggling with the motivation to finish the book. For the first time in my life I must say that the movie was better than the book. I would suggest skipping the book and watching the movie, which was actually pretty good!

I absolutely loved the Maze Runner by James Dashner. I have read the Scorch Trials (the second book in the series) and own the rest but have not had the chance to finish them.

I actually really enjoyed the movie as well. I thought the changes that they made fit in with the story for the most part except for the *SPOILER ALERT* mind reading. They didn't really include that but it is a huge part in the next book.

I liked the overall idea of the book, but disliked the writing style. I thought the dialogue was pretty unbelievable.

I really enjoyed reading the maze runner. However, I have found that it is a lot more difficult for me to get through the second book of the series the scorch trials. For some reason I just don't like it as much. I thought the Maze Runner was a wonderful book and even I was unaware of how the children were actually supposed to escape until it was pointed out in the book. I thought it was well written and provided riveting imagery unto what was actually occurring.

I thought the maze runner lacked plot. I felt like there was a lot of filler in the series where there could have been more substance. It sort of dragged on in a lot of parts.

I usually read books from a girl's perspective too, but I branched out for this one because I wanted to read the book before seeing the movie. I thought it was okay. Don't get me wrong, it is a terrific book if you are into dystopias, male point of views, action, and different vernacular. It was very well written, and the author deserves to be recognized for it. It just wasn't really my thing. It reminded me a lot of Lord of the Flies by William Golding, which was just a little too weird for me. I would still recommend it to people though, because if you are into this kind of genre, you will definitely love this book.
