Review: Insane-O-Tron by Nick Alverson

Post by Mimi Jazman »

First of all, I really want to say sorry to the author of the book. I believe this book is not meant for me. I admit that I can't wait to finish this book, but not out of curiosity, but just because I need to get over it as fast as I can.

I believe some of the readers out there would like a book like this. It consists of six short stories that supposed to be very funny. But somehow, maybe because of my upbringing, I don't really get the jokes the author trying to sell.

The book consists of a lot of curse words, violent actions and also, disgusting stuffs. I tried as hard as I can to finish the book, but yes, it is a very hard task for me.

I don't understand the whole story. There are a few stories that I like in the book. Usually, I was intrigued at first but then, everything just went wrong towards the end.

I'm so sorry but, I really don't get the message of these short stories, but maybe, out there, there is someone who will understand whatever the author is trying to say.
