Icon Vampire Academy by Richelle Mead (Spoilers)

This was one of the books I just did not get. Turns out weak vampires do not appeal to me!
I just find the plot very weird. You have three types of vampires... okay. Good ones, bad ones and then something in between, those half vamps that protect the good vampires. Okay... but then I keep asking myself WHY are they protecting them? The good vamps are weak, all they do is learn their (what seems like pretty weak) magic which they don't even use to FIGHT! :evil2: Come on! How did their form of "government" not get overthrown by the half-vamps? Just strange.
And then of course we have the bad vamps, who are like 100% stronger and faster than the other 2 kinds. I mean, I'd understand if they were stronger and faster but not the way the book describes it? Rosa, the girl who spends every day physically training to fight gets thrown around like a rag dog by a newly made Strigoi? Like, seriously, wouldn't she be able to put up SOME KIND OF A FIGHT? Just makes it look like she's competely pathetic.
And then of course there is Dimitri, who fights like a god (i quote) and nothing can touch him... so I guess at some point Rose should reach that same level.. (him being her mentor and all)? I will never live to find out because there's no way I'm going to read the next book. lol
And the whole academy-high-school scene is incredibly juvenile and annoying. You'd think vamps have better things to do than spread gossip... like... learn to fight or use their pathetic magic. just sayin. :snooty:
