I really enjoyed the way the author reinvented the world of Wonderland. It was wonderfully twisted and dark. My complaints are that the bff/crush and his relationship with the main character didn't seem fully developed when there was SO much potential to do so. He could have been fantastic. I also wasn't a huge fan of the skate boarding obsession littered throughout the story at what seemed totally inappropriate times. The characters would have been much better served if the primary focus had been allowed to remain with their artistic abilities. Overall, clever twist on a classic but with struggling relationship roles.
