Book Review: Dream Engine by Johnny B. Truant and Sean Platt

Post by Stephanie J »

The Dream Engine is a dystopian thrill. It transported me to a new world and kept me wondering and engaged. It was shorter than I would have liked at 279 pages, but I can't wait to see what happens in the next book.
This book follows young Eila Doyle as she begins to expirience dreams, the only problem is she does not know what dreams are. In fact no one in Waldron's Gate does.
She has been trained her whole life to be a builder, to help build the things her society needs to run. She takes her crumble daily to help keep her sane. She hangs out with her friend Cora and is everything her parents raised her to be. Then why is she geeting these dreams? These dreams that feature a boy and summons to help.
Who is this boy? How is she supposed to help? What is she supposed to do when she is no longer sure what is sane?
