Review copy provided via reading alley in exchange for an honest review. A book that broke my heart.I absolutely loved this book! Naked and Far From Home by J.P Grider will leave you feeling heartbroken but it will become one of your favorite books!The author had me going through so many emotions throughout the book and in the end led me to tears.>The story revolves around the relationship Tia and Clinton do and dont develop. It starts out with tia pursuing clinton. Tia is a teen that has a crush on Clinton who is almost 5 years older then her. She is determined and doesn't give up. I like her personality and how driven she is. <br />Clinton is very hesitant and keeps himself at a distance. He's confused and trying to figure himself out, all while continuously breaking tia`s heart. <br /><br />Throughout the story Tia becomes more mature as she gets older. She becomes stronger as she deals with so many heart wrenching situAtions. Clinton goes through self discovery while battling his emotions for Tia. I felt connected to both Tia and Clinton and could feel what they felt.<br /><br />The plot of the story was very well laid out and concluded very well. There were several twists that left me saying "oh my gosh" outloud. Grider was very clever in how she developed the story and relationship between Tia and Clinton.The romantic development between the two characters was very well thought out and it develops throughout the whole book keeping you on edge.<br /><br />The writing was very well balanced with a combination of innocence and sexy. <br /><br />“Oh yeah? Will this help your headache?”He tickled me. In the stomach. Under the armpits. On my side. Then he plopped on top of me and devoured my mouth. His tongue probed my mouth like this was the last time he’d ever kiss me. Or the first time. He then withdrew his tongue and wildly started kissing my neck."<br /><br />This book elicited so many emotions in me. There were times I was angry and there were times i was overly excited. I felt my heartbreaking as if i was the one in the relationship. <br /><br />I feel that this book coming to an end was necessary to make it feel as real as it did. When i was finished I was content and not left feeling like i needed more because the author had concluded it perfectly. <br /><br />The ending of the book will make you go back and forth with what you think the end result will be. I found myself continuously trying to guess between two scenarios. The ending is beautiful and will bring you to tears. <br /><br />There is some mature sexual scenes towards the middle and end of the book. I would recommend this book for ages 17 and up. <br /><br />I highly recommend this book but be prepared for a rollercoaster of emotions!
