Theodore Boone: The Scandal by John Grisham. (ISBN: 978-0-525-42639-4)
This is a young adult lawyer based fiction, with a target demographic of kids 13-17, though I think many people would enjoy the series.

This book follows the adventure of 13-year-old Theodore Boone, Son of two of the best lawyers in his town. Theo is just getting out of middle school, but now has to pass the dreaded EOGs, when something goes awry! Suddenly, Theo is caught up in a bout of misfortune, with sabotage, terror, and courtroom drama.

What I liked about the book was that is was absolutely captivating. The characters were very believable, and I could really feel the emotions the character was feeling. The story was absolutely captivating, keeping you in the dark about the mystery, yet giving you enough so that you would be intrigued and curious enough to continue reading.

I think the only thing I disliked about the book is that sometimes, the pacing was rather slow. this was rare, though, so I would truly recommend this book.

In closing, I enjoyed the book, and I would definitely recommend it to anyone who likes detective, mystery, or law books, and if you do enjoy them but feel That they are targeted a bit too young for you, I recommend checking out some of Grisham's books for adults. They're along the same basis, but more mature. I can't say how those are, as I haven't read them.
