Review: Flight (The Cresent Chronicles) by Alyssa Rose Ivy

Post by Jenie »

There are several young adult paranormal books out there. Usually they revolve around the circus of vampires, werewolves, witches and many more, but Alyssa Rose Ivy brings a refreshing outlook on the world of the supernatural. For once Vampire were not at the top of the food chain and everything was compeletly different. Flight is the first book in the Crescent chronicles written by Alyssa Rose Ivy. We see Allison fighting the attraction she has for Levi yet curious about the behavior his friends and natives around him.

Allison just graduated from high school and would be beginning college in the fall. She has been disappointed continually in relationships. Sworn off men, she moves to New Orleans for the summer to work in her fathers hotel along with her best friend, Jess. There they meet Levi and his friends who introduce her to the secret world of the supernatural and soon she finds herself entangled with danger.

Allison has a lot of depth to her, we see her gradually accept her attraction to Levi and get
more engrossed in the secrets that he keeps. On the other hand, Levi is a mystery to the readers. We barely know anything about him and we are all curious trying to find out what he his hiding, who he really is and the importance of his role in the supernatural society.

Flight was an interesting read, I will recommend it to anyone who is looking for a very different outlook on the supernatural world. It will be a great read for paranormal romance readers. I will give it a 3 out of 4 stars.
The Greatness of a man is in the quality of his personality and in the effectiveness of his influence ~ Chris O.

I give Flight a 3 out of 4 stars. I enjoyed the storyline, I just feel it fell a little flat in the romance department.
