Under the Never Sky by Veronica Rossi

Oh my my my. This is one book that was impossible for me to put down. It's told in two points of views. One is that of a girl named Aria who grew up in what she and others in the story call a Pod. She's never seen the outside world (only the world on her Smarteye screen) until a mishap causes her to become exiled. The second point of view is that of a boy named Peregrine who's brother leads their tribe in the outside world. People in their tribe think him different because of his ability to smell emotions. His and Aria's worlds collide when he finds her out in a baron desert. After his nephew is kidnapped Perry and Aria go on a journey to find him and Aria's mother. Their journey just takes off from there. This is hands down one of the best sci-fi books I have ever read. I definitely recommend it.

10/10 definitely rereading in the future.

It is really unique concept the way she wrote it and told the story. The love story felt very organic and natural. I was a bit confused during the first two chapters with the virtual reality stuff but I got into it after that.
