I think this is going to be an exciting journey for Michael as he investigates a group of underworld men planning to smuggle some stuff through Ireland. How will his skateboarding skills help him in his pursuit of them? I like reading adventure and suspense novels and this one is right up my alley.

I wonder if the fact that Michael is adopted plays a part in the mystery...
The topics you mentioned (identity crisis, friendship, etc.) are crucial to the teenager experience.
Ireland has a fascinating culture, and this seems like a story that both young and not-so-young adults can enjoy. Great review!

"The Irish Skateboard Club" captivates with engaging characters, a plot rich in friendship, identity, and crime, all set against the backdrop of Ireland's culture. A fast-paced and unputdownable young adult novel that offers both entertainment and insight.

The story drew me in from the start. Learned lots more from the review.4 out of 4 for that. Michael, the main character, is such an interesting and cool dude. A great read for young adults. It's spot on comments about culture, travel and different countries, including lots of foreign words, mean an adult could enjoy and learn from this read as well. I definitely want to read it. Thanks for the free copy. Wonderful choice for BOTD.

'Official Review: The Irish Skateboard Club' by Brinn Clolenda vividly describes the young adult story of the book for readers. The comments in the review are potent and enriching. The point that the book follows the adventures of an American student in Ireland, Michael Callahan, who, as a child, was adopted by an influential Irish-American family, is worth mentioning in the review. The themes of the story revolving around true friendship, identity crisis, and crime are appealing to readers. Also, as mentioned in the review, the point that the book gives some insight into the culture of Ireland, telling about the landscape and weather in Dublin, is remarkable for readers. It was great to learn that the book is filled with intriguing and hilarious actions and conversations!

There are some individuals like Michael who weren't supported for what they love to do. Instead, they are told what to do. I wonder if his passion for skateboarding and snowboarding was lost in the place. The crime aspect was intriguing as well. Congratulations to the author on BOTD!

Thank you for the interesting review. Based on your review I am trying to decide if I want to read the book or not. I'll probably try it at least. I do like many young adult books. I like the fact that he wants to do something different than his family's plan for him for a career. He is just a little older than my son. With that said, I'm not sure if I'd want to read about human trafficking. I don't think the crime would be so hard to read. I am glad there wasn't explicit sex or profanity in the book too. Your review gave me a lot to think about, plus it's a free book.

Michael finding himself a witness to crime is going to be new to him. I'm really curious about how that would end.
